Eng. Athari Obaid Al Serkal, a member of the Sharjah Youth Council, has over 13 years of experience managing national priority projects, particularly in sustainability and social responsibility, contributing to the design and implementation of cross-sector strategies that deliver tangible environmental, economic, and social impacts aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals; she currently serves as Senior Manager of National Priority Projects, leading efforts to define national sustainability priorities, build high-level public-private partnerships, and drive sustainable resource management through strategic initiatives, having previously designed and implemented more than 10 major programs for resource, energy, and water conservation and led over 70 awareness campaigns and community initiatives to instill sustainability culture among individuals and institutions, while also developing governance models and advanced impact-measurement mechanisms to ensure alignment with national sustainable development plans; in addition to her institutional roles, she is a sustainability and environmental content creator in the Middle East, leveraging her digital platforms to highlight national initiatives linked to the SDGs—including food security, resource efficiency, and community resilience toward a low-emission future—and is a graduate of Masdar’s Women Leaders in Sustainability, Environment, and Renewable Energy Program, recognized among the inspiring young female leaders on the Zayed Inspires platform, and serves as a role model for ambitious Emirati youth through her membership in the Arab Youth Council for Climate Change.
