Dr. Gomaa Ali Mubarak Rashid is an Associate Professor at the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology, University of Khorfakkan. He has over 17 years of research experience in materials science, graphene, supercapacitors, water treatment, and drug delivery. He holds a Ph.D. in Advanced Nanomaterials for Energy Storage from UMP, Malaysia, and has published more than 150 journal papers and 22 book chapters. Dr. Rashid has received prestigious awards including the ARSCO Award (2022), TWAS-AREP (2018), Obada Prize (2021), Arab Water Council Award (2022), and the Gold Medal at the British Invention Show (2015). With more than 8,500 citations and an h-index of 56, he is a member of leading scientific societies such as the American Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry, and serves as an editor and reviewer for numerous international journals.
