Dr. Wafa Al Yamani, an Emirati expert with a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Natural Resources Sustainability, leads research supporting the UAE’s environmental protection and sustainable agriculture for food security amid climate change. She holds a Master’s in Water and Environmental Engineering from Masdar Institute, where she was the only Emirati female graduate in her field. Her work bridges science, law, and policy, shaping sustainable practices and legal frameworks for arid climates. With international contributions and leadership roles empowering youth and women, Dr. Al Yamani has held key positions at Masdar, Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
