She has been Editor-in-Chief of Sharjah 24 since December 2015, following a career that began in 2003 at Sharjah TV, and later as Television Editor-in-Chief at the Media Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. She led the establishment of Sharjah 24 from its inception, overseeing its development into a pioneering platform on the digital media landscape. Under her editorial leadership, the site won the Global Excellence Award 2022 in the United States, in recognition of its credibility, transparency and media diversity. Alongside her editorial work, Fatima Al Blooshi plays an active role in academia and training; she has been a member of the Advisory Board of the College of Communication at Umm Al Quwain University since 2020, a certified trainer in the 'Job Shadowing' programme of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, as well as a trainer and evaluation committee member in the 'Ithmar' programme. She places particular importance on developing local content and strengthening professional standards in news writing, while leading initiatives to adopt the latest technological tools, including artificial intelligence and digital transformation in newsrooms. She has also taken part in local and international media forums discussing the future of digital media, and has shared her expertise through training courses focusing on credibility, professional commitment and creating content that fosters national awareness.
