Dr. Ali Hilal Alnaqbi currently serves as the Chancellor of the University of Khorfakkan and a member of the Board of Trustees, and he previously held the position of Director of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic where he led significant advancements in applied technical and vocational education. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and conducted postdoctoral research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Harvard Medical School, in addition to earning an Executive MBA with Distinction from Suffolk University in Boston. He began his academic career at UAE University in 2009 as an Assistant Professor, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014, and became a Full Professor in 2024. Over his career, he has published more than 60 high-impact papers and registered five US patents related to bioartificial liver devices. He is a member of the UAE Council of Scientists and the Dubai Future Council for Medicine, and has served on several academic and administrative boards. Dr. Alnaqbi has successfully secured over $3 million in research funding and was honored with the UAE First 43 Pioneers Award by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. During his leadership at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, he achieved a 96% employment rate for graduates within nine months, and he is renowned for driving educational innovation and promoting the role of universities in community development and human capital advancement.
